Letter to our Congregation

Church family, as chair of the leadership team, I want to say to you that we have been meeting and praying for the past several months on what direction God would like our church to take to reach our community. Projects and plans to reach the community are easy to come up with. But, what our team soon realized we don’t need plans, we need a heart for the lost. When was the last time you cried out to God about the lost on their way to Hell?  We know these last months have been a challenge, but the commandment to go and preach the Gospel has not changed.

One verse that stood out to us was Psalm 51:10-12. Please read. “Create in me a pure heart, O God and renew a steadfast spirit with in me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing (steadfast) spirit to sustain me.” Then Psalms 51:13 will come into play. “Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will be converted to You.” The overall emphasis our team feels is in three words,” A willing spirit.” Planning and programs are not going to go anywhere if we don’t have a heartfelt need to pluck the lost from the fires of Hell. We are sending this to you by regular mail because e-mail will not suffice, this is too important.

We ask, starting today, that you be in earnest prayer for at least the next 30 days, that God will place in YOUR heart a crying need to reach the lost. You may be the only chance someone has to escape an eternity away from God.  Would you please build this into your prayer time? This is most CRITICAL. We are not worried about the challenges we see around us today. They will not hold back the mighty hand of God. But we want a unified body moving forward, not just a few, but all of us working to see God move in our community. It starts with you and I.

Respectfully and hopefully Jon Warren and the leadership team.
