 “Wisdom amidst Weariness”

The title of this series may seem a bit lacking hope.  But, it’s not.  We are all facing things we never could have anticipated.  To be honest about that doesn’t show a lack of hope, it shows a degree of wisdom.  Hebrews 5:14 mentions “But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.”  We need to be honest about the feelings we are all having inside of us.  Some of them are good, some of them are not so good.  To be hopeful without being realistic isn’t helpful.   As we take a look at the wisdom of Solomon, as he prayed over his people, we will see some very foundational emphasis that bring us back to the God we know and the foundation we have that doesn’t change our circumstances, but helps us navigate them.  I pray that this series is a blessing to help us be honest about where we are, not to sit in hopelessness, but to let God help us.   Pastor Jim
