At Wichita Avenue Evangelical Church, we open our arms wide to welcome you into a community passionately seeking God’s hope and guidance for every step of our lives. We are dedicated to creating an environment where people of all ages can cultivate deep relationships with God, grow in their faith, serve others, and connect meaningfully with one another. Jesus said, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45), and we strive to follow His example. 
 

Our ultimate goal: to empower you to champion Christ’s mission right where you are, in the unique circumstances and season of life that only you inhabit. No one else can carry out this calling exactly as you can—with your relationships, your opportunities, and your influence. Whether it’s at your school, in your workplace, among friends or neighbors, or through community and ministerial outreach—or even starting within the walls of your own home—your role is irreplaceable. We believe passionately that God has placed you exactly where He needs you to make an impact for His kingdom!

OUR VALUES
 

1) Jesus is the very heart of our lives—He means everything to us. With unwavering devotion, we strive to follow His example and place Him above all else, letting His teachings guide every step we take. (Colossians 1:17 – 18)

2) Love defines us — it’s what shapes us and gives our lives meaning. God’s love came first, powerful and unconditional, igniting a fire within us to love Him wholeheartedly and to reach out to others with bold, transformative compassion. It’s this divine love that inspires us to go beyond ourselves and embrace others in ways that can truly change the world. 7) We are called to multiply our impact—reaching out to those who are lost, guiding them in the ways of Jesus, and empowering others to do the same.
